Woodworking Basics

This course is the ideal place to start for anyone who has ever been interested in woodworking and wood shop tool and safety fundamentals, as well as for those who simply want to hone their existing woodworking skills. Participants will learn by completing three projects: a carved wooden spoon, a wooden cutting board, and a simple, elegant toolbox. Tools used in this course will include: the jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, and chop saw, as well as hand saws, chisels, gouges, portable grinder, orbital sander, router table and a portable router.
