BASICS OF BUSINESS (410-802-DW; 45 HOURS)
This course is intended for individuals who would like to establish a critical understanding of business topics while also focusing on the impact of globalization. Specific issues related to the business world such as the structure of business, its principle activities and typical problems are investigated.
ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES I (410-811-DW; 60 HOURS)
This course is intended to help individuals develop an understanding of the basic applications of accounting. Building on their terminology and bookkeeping procedures, students will analyze fundamental transactions and produce basic financial statements. Electronic spreadsheet applications and accounting software will be introduced.
PC APPLICATIONS IN ACCOUNTING I (SIMPLY ACCOUNTING)(410-827-DW; 45 HOURS)
Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers or equivalent experience
This course will introduce students to the structural components of computerized accounting systems. Students will develop skills in setting up and operating various accounts and databases to process fundamental accounting transactions.
NEGOTIATIONS (410-609-DW; 45 HOURS)
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of business
This course addresses the processes of negotiation as it is practiced in a variety of settings. The course allows students the opportunity to develop skills experientially and to understand the negotiation in useful analytical frameworks. Emphasis is placed on simulations, role-playing, and cases.
