Donna Varrica Donna has overall responsibility for the Communications Office. She oversees the content and look of the website and works with Information Systems and Technology to ensure that information is shared among the various platforms. The Communications Office organizes major College-wide events, such as Open House and Convocation, and produces promotional publications. Donna also supports the Director General directly in his public activities, acts as College spokesperson and is responsible for media relations, while overseeing internal and external communications. Donna graduated from Dawson College in Literature and Languages/Creative Arts, from Concordia University, B.A. in Journalism/English Literature and from City University in London (U.K.) , M.A. International Journalism. |

Geoff Kloos Geoff is responsible for assisting programs and units with the organization of events, including publicity and location scouting. He writes and edits material for the web and for various print publications, and coordinates program presence at a number of recruiting activities, both on and off campus. Geoff assists the Coordinator in achieving the Communications Office’s objectives. Geoff’s prior experience in Academic Advising and Professional Development is an asset in understanding the needs of students and faculty. Geoff graduated from John Abbot College in Social Science, from Concordia University, B.A. Urban Studies, and completed a Certificate in Public Relations at McGill University. He holds a Graduate Diploma of Education through the Master Teacher Program (Performa) and is currently at the thesis stage of the Master’s degree. |

Carey-Ann Pawsey Carey is responsible for organizing the logistics of College-wide events, notably Open House, Convocation, awards ceremonies, Parents’ Night, and the pre-March deadline information session. She writes and edits material for the web and for various print publications, and assists Geoff in the coordination of program presence at recruiting activities on and off campus. Carey assists the Coordinator in achieving the Communications Office’s objectives. Through her experience in Financial Aid and the Registrar’s Office, she has developed excellent rapport with students and as such, coordinates student volunteers for large events. Carey graduated from Dawson College in Social Science, from Concordia University with a B.A. in History and a second B.A. in Women’s Studies. |

Patrick Phutthavong Patrick is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Dawson website. He responds to the feedback form submissions or directs queries to the appropriate. Patrick provides answers to programming questions and develops forms and databases to capture information that serves the Dawson community. He works with individuals, programs and units to deliver timely web solutions and is the main resource for virtual dialogue between the College’s own servers using html programming language and the functions contained within the external supplier platform. Patrick graduated from Dawson College in Social Science and a second DEC in Computer Science Technology. He began his work with the College as an intern. |
