Dawson entrepreneurship and innovation projects revving up

On the eve of the third edition of EWeek from November 17 to 20, the news out of Dawson’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education just keeps getting more and more exciting.

On November 6, RECODE, a new $10 million initiative of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, to be operated in collaboration with partners from the private, public, and Fourteen Canadian colleges and universities have been awarded matching grants to encourage students to become social entrepreneurs. Dawson College is a partner to the École de technologie supérieure (ETS) who received one of these grants. Other CEGEPs were Cégep de Sherbrooke, Cégep André-Laurendeau, as well as Concordia University.

Then JeVoisMTL announced the launch of a platform to showcase new projects in Montreal such as the iC , which stands for incubator + campus, a project dedicated to creative and cultural entrepreneurs. Led by Dawson College and partner Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, the project will stimulate innovation and foster the creation and growth of enterprises and organizations in those sectors
