The Director General’s Teaching Excellence Awards were established in 1993 to recognize outstanding teaching performance in the classroom, laboratory and/or fieldwork.
Students and peers may nominate teachers who have exemplified the teaching profession. The difficult task of selecting four recipients among 24 finalists per year in the Careers, General Education, Pre-University (Arts) and Pre-University (Science) sectors is left to a vigourous process overseen by the Assistant Sector Deans. A plaque in the Boardroom displays the names of all past winners.
On behalf of the selection committees, we are pleased to announce that this year’s recipients are:
A hearty congratulations to this year’s recipients (pictured below), who were celebrated at the Convocation ceremony at Place des Arts on June 21.

Also, congratulations to the 20 nominated teachers, listed here.
"Every nominee is clearly an outstanding teacher who is regarded by their students and colleagues with the highest degree of respect and admiration for dedication and commitment to the profession, as well as for numerous contributions both inside and outside the classroom," said Mr. Filion.
"I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere gratitude for your devotion to your students and to the College at large."
