The Bookstore is open daily, with extended hours during the opening weeks of each semester to accommodate the increased number of customers. It provides students, faculty and staff with books and supplies at competitive prices.
A four-page flyer listing basic information about the Bookstore, including hours of operation, accepted forms of payment, and the refund policy, is available to new students. The Bookstore has also instituted a used-book "buy-back" plan for certain titles used from semester to semester which are valued at more than $20.
Several improvements over the last year have reduced the amount of waiting time for students, including a high-speed line for debit/credit card transactions, double-staffing the refund register to allow other transactions to proceed more quickly at the regular registers, and a listing of titles by course on our website.
Ordering procedures are constantly fine-tuned to ensure that appropriate quantities of books are kept in stock within a time frame that coincides with course requirements. The Bookstore is also cooperating with various programs (Book Loans, Book Bursaries, Sponsored Native Students) to support students in their book-buying requirements so that the information concerning available credit is seen online at the point of purchase.
