Program Information
The aim of the Creative Arts, Literature, and Languages (C.A.L.L.) program is to prepare students for university studies with a balanced education in the creative arts, literature, or languages. The program combines an education in the arts or languages with compulsory general education courses in English, French, Humanities, and Physical Education.
Students may choose to study within one of the following six profiles: Arts and Culture, Interactive Media Arts, Literature, Languages, Cinema/ Video/Communications, and Visual Arts. Because of the wide choice of courses within the profiles, students are encouraged to try their hands at subjects they have never explored before. It is important to remember, though, that students who enter in the winter term are limited in their selection of courses since many courses are only offered either in the fall or the winter but not in both terms. Students are reminded to plan accordingly. Except for those in the Languages Profile, students may follow particular interests in journalism, music, or theatre by taking an option course in one of these subjects every term. They may also simply choose a variety of option courses.
Students also have the opportunity to pursue studies in depth by taking several courses in a discipline of their choice. Along with the C.A.L.L. program’s rich and broad range of course offerings, students and teachers also organize extracurricular and enrichment activities. As a pre-university program, C.A.L.L. prepares students for further education in a broad variety of arts-related fields, including art history, cinema, communications, cultural studies, drama, education, humanities, international careers, journalism, languages, the liberal arts, linguistics, literature, translation, and visual arts.
From their first term in the program, students should keep all their work and creative projects in a portfolio. This will be useful for the Integrating Activity Course and, in some cases, for university admission.

The Creative Arts, Literature, and Languages program is divided into six profiles. Students must register in one of these profiles to be in the program:

Throughout the year, the Creative Arts, Literature, and Languages program offers students a variety of cultural enrichment activities. A number of events are organized for students by profiles and departments, such as guest speakers, exhibitions, literary reading series, multi-cultural events, and media night, among others . Students are encouraged to participate in creative and cultural experiences.
