Please note: This Timetable and Registration Guide pertains only to daytime students. For Continuing Education students, please see the following page: Continuing Education Online Registration

If you are a Continuing Education student having difficulty with your online registration, please fill out a REGISTRATION HELP FORM found in the MyDawson portal/My College Services/Continuing Education Registration Helpform

The timetable is a complete listing of all courses offered by the college for a specified semester.  You can use the timetable to search for information on courses you are interested in.

This information includes:

  • Title and number of course
  • Section number
  • Section Title (if applicable)
  • Teacher(s) name(s)
  • Description of course
  • Course pre-requisites or co-requisites (if applicable)
  • Course drop deadline
  • Actual schedule of course

The Winter 2024 Timetable and Registration Guide will be available on January 8, 2024 through the MyDawson portal/ My College Services/Timetable and Registration Guide. The Timetable is updated regularly for any changes such as new sections added or sections closed.

Please be sure to read “How to Use the Timetable and Registration Guide” tab before using the Timetable search features.

Note to other members of the Dawson Community: You will find the Timetable and Registration Guide under the Academic Services menu.

Help Chat (Daytime students only):

The Helpline is 100% Chat!!! In order to connect with the Help Chat at your appointed registration time, simply log in your My Dawson portal/My Omnivox Services/Course Registration and upon entering the module you will see a ‘Start Chat’ icon.

If during your registration session you encounter difficulties, please connect to the HELP CHAT. DO NOT COME TO THE COLLEGE OR CALL THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE, since registration staff are working on registration at the Help Chat!

They will be available to answer your questions on the following dates, during your registration time: 

New & Returning Students:

January 16    from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 17    from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 18    from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 19     from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 22     from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 23     from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 24     from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

January 25     from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Note that you will be able to review your assigned specific courses 48 hours prior to your registration appointment. Register at your appointment time to have the broadest course selection available. Remember that in order to be officially registered in your courses, you must finalize your schedule (important: see how to register video mentioned above for clear instructions).

Help during Registration – connect to the Help Chat if…

You have not been allocated all of the concentration courses proposed to you on your progression chart.
You are unable to register for all of the courses proposed to you (you get a message that no seats are available in any section of a particular course).
You wish to discuss your course selections with an academic adviser.
You would like to reduce your course load by more than 3 courses and are therefore unable to complete your reduced course load request online (available under MyDawson portal/My College Services/Reduce Course Load requests) .
You need help adding a pre-college level French course to your schedule.
You need help adding a university prerequisite course to your schedule.
You have added all of your courses but cannot finalize your registration.
Do NOT connect to the Help Chat if… Instead…
You cannot register because you haven’t paid your fees. Click here to find out how to proceed: https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/finance/student-fees/
You wish to be added to a course/section that is full (i.e. because you would prefer a different teacher or day/time than the course allocated to you). Switch courses during the official course change period, after classes begin. (Help Line operators cannot add students to course sections that are full and no wait lists are kept for daytime courses.)
You feel you have been placed at the wrong French level. Speak to your French teacher about your concerns during the first class of the semester.
You have questions about, or have not taken, an English placement test. Visit https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/registrar/english-french-placement-tests/ which includes test details and appropriate contact info.
You are in a technical (career) program and, due to exceptional circumstances, need to inquire about switching groups/course sections. See your program web page in order to contact your program coordinator.
You want to know if there are seats available in a particular course/ section. Use the Check for Available Seats box on the Course Request Form within the registration system (the How to Register video).
You have already finalized your schedule and are hoping to make changes. Switch courses during the official course change period, after classes begin. (Once you have finalized your schedule, further changes cannot be made during the regular online registration period.)
You wish to take an evening course. Daytime students cannot take evening courses for reasons of scheduling preference.
