The Interagency Advisory Panel on Research Ethics has launched an online tutorial, TCPS 2: Course on Research Ethics (CORE). CORE is an educational resource primarily for researchers and research ethics board members. It is designed to be done independently, and can be completed at the user’s own pace, in a single session or a series of sessions – it includes case studies, multi-disciplinary examples and media excerpts.
Please select Dawson College as your institution and use your institution-specific email (e.g. name@dawsoncollege.qc.ca) and not Hotmail, Gmail or other private accounts, when you log in to create your CORE account.
The first selection of TCPS 2 interpretations, compiled from responses to questions of general interest, has been posted. These interpretations can be found at http://www.pre.ethics.gc.ca/eng/policy-politique/interpretations/Default/. Further interpretations will be added periodically.
CAREB hosts an annual national conference and periodic regional conferences. The association also moderates a listserv where current issues in Canadian research ethics are discussed.
