Verify if you satisfy any of the exemption categories:<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Hold a high school diploma issued by the Minist\u00e8re de l&#8217;\u00c9ducation, du Loisir et du Sport, for which the student received high school instruction in French;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Hold a high school diploma issued by the Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports, for which the student has received high school instruction in English and has successfully completed the compulsory subject &#8220;French as a second language&#8221; in Secondary 5;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Completed a Dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes professionnelles (DEP) program in French in Qu\u00e9bec;<\/li>\n<li>Completed at least three years of secondary or post-secondary education in French in provinces\/territories in Canada other than Qu\u00e9bec;<\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Hold an AEC, issued by an Qu\u00e9bec college, for a program of study in which the language of instruction for all courses was in French;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Have successfully completed a program of study, given in French in Qu\u00e9bec, leading to a Diploma of College Studies or a diploma of university studies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Has successfully completed, outside Qu\u00e9bec, a program of study given in French leading to the awarding of a diploma equivalent to a diploma of college studies or a university-level diploma;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Has passed the Office qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois de la langue fran\u00e7aise examination for professional orders;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Resides or has resided on an Indian reservation, in an establishment where an Aboriginal community lives or on Category I or Category I-N land within the meaning of the Act respecting the land regime in the James Bay and New Qu\u00e9bec territories (chapter R-13.1).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\"> <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"get-a-sense-of-your-level-of-french\" class=\"new dc_accordion  \"  ><h2 class=\"dc_accordion-title highlighta\" ><a class=\"\" style=\"background-color:#548ec4; color:#FFFFFF; \" href=\"#get-a-sense-of-your-level-of-french\">Get a sense of your level of French<\/a><\/h2><div class=\"dc_accordion-body \" style=\"\" ><p><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The consortium of English-language C\u00e9geps have developed a diagnostic test to help you determine your current level of French. Francisation courses are offered in various locales in the province of Qu\u00e9bec, including <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"><span style=\"text-decoration: line-through\">C<\/span><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e9geps, school boards, adult education centers and more. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Dawson College, offers <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/ctd\/course-category\/languages\/\"><span data-ccp-charstyle=\"Hyperlink\">non-credit French courses<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> through the Language Centre.
