The Loran Scholars Foundation grants Loran Awards to talented young Canadians on the basis of character, service and leadership potential. A Loran Award includes four years of funding for undergraduate studies and a comprehensive enrichment program. They also grant about 100 finalist and provincial awards (either $2,000 or $5,000) to strong candidates.
Future Aces Scholarship
30 awards of $1,000
The Future Aces Philosophy created by Herbert Carnegie in 1956 is designed to help youth develop the self-knowledge and self-confidence that will enable them to take control of their lives and to use their abilities in a positive way. It provides a model for behavior based on teachable skills with a meaningful message to encourage responsible citizenship.
TD Canada Trust Scholarship
Up to $70,000 and summer employment
Twenty TD Scholarships for Community Leadership are awarded to students in their last year of high school or CEGEP (in Quebec) who have demonstrated leadership in improving their community. Each scholarship has a value of up to $70,000.
Kin Canada Scholarship
Several awards of $1,000
Kin Canada established the Kin Canada Bursaries, a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, in memory of Hal Rogers, the Association’s founder. Rogers passed away in September 1994 at the age of 95. Its purpose is to promote, encourage and sponsor educational programs and activities.
Weizmann Science Canada Scholarship
75 awards of $4,000
Each summer, approximately 75 outstanding high school students from around the globe gather on the Weizmann campus in Rehovot, Israel to participate in a four week science program. The program offers students an amazing opportunity to gain experience in professional research labs, perform field studies in the Judean Desert, and attend lectures on cutting-edge scientific topics, such as robotics, brain research and gene therapy.

Royal Canadian Legion
Awarded from the Poppy Trust Funds to students who are children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Canadian ex-service persons (war veterans or post-war service) and who are in need of assistance. These bursaries may be awarded at any stage of a college or university program. Other bursaries and scholarships may be awarded from other Legion funds and the criteria are established by the respective branch or Provincial Command.
Royal Bank Scholarships for undergraduate students
Enrolled full-time in a publicly funded Canadian university or college. Applicants should be well-rounded, creative students who are passion driven and who want to make a difference. Minimum cumulative GPA equivalent to a 70% average.
Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Program
20 awards up to $7,000
Terry Fox Humanitarian Award recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox, their volunteer experience, their courage in overcoming obstacles, their participation in sport, fitness and community service and their academic standing. The Terry Fox Humanitarian Award Program is not a ‘disability’ award, though many recipients have faced and overcome physical disabilities. Obstacles can refer to any circumstances – physical, psychological, societal or environmental – which require personal fortitude. Obstacles include – but are not limited to – physical or mental handicaps, financial hardship, family breakup, deaths or illnesses, refugee situations and other life-altering situations.
Mensa Canada Scholarship Programme

For continuing full time post secondary students, awards based on essay outlining your career plan and describing the means you undertake to achieve your goals in 250 words or less.

That is why we created Top 20 Under 20 – to celebrate and honour Canadians who have demonstrated a significant level innovation, leadership and achievement but have not yet reached the age of 20. There are incredible young people in this country doing incredible things!

A scholarship for students who can write up an essay on the topic related to senior living in Canada. For example, you can write about multigenerational living, issues that Canadian seniors are facing today, retirement living options for your parents or grandparents, etc.
The Augsbury/North Country Scholarship
Scholarship of $10,000+
The Augsbury/North Country Scholarship is a financial award, initiated in 1974, to recognize academic and co-curricular leadership among designated North Country and Canadian high school students. A scholarship for students who have demonstrated leadership, community service, and a strong academic commitment, as well as a sincere desire to attend St. Lawrence University (Canton, New York, U.S.A.).
iGotcha Media is offering an annual scholarship to North American college students. This scholarship is merit based and requires an essay submission. The winning applicant will receive $1,000 dollars towards their costs of education. Although iGotcha Media is a digital media company, our team is made of people from different backgrounds, therefore we want our scholarship to be open to students from all academic backgrounds.
