Spanish Conversation – Level 1

Designed for students who have no knowledge of Spanish, this course will present the basic structures of the Spanish language with emphasis on communication while paying attention to grammar and building up vocabulary. Through a variety of exercises for practice individually, with a partner or in groups, students will be able to communicate in common situations of their everyday life. Differences between Latin American and Peninsular pronunciation and vocabulary will be discussed. Students learn basic dialogues, useful expressions, basic survival phrases, and are exposed to basic Spanish grammar and cultural Hispanic information. This course enables students to carry on a simple conversation in Spanish.
