Opportunity for Dawson faculty members: Call for expression of interest in participating<\/strong>
\nin the CRISPESH research projects developed as part of the Chantier de la r\u00e9ussite<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you interested in research and want to contribute to inclusive education and the
\nsuccess of students with disabilities? Do you have research experience, disciplinary
\nknowledge related to disability, or do you work with students with disabilities?<\/p>\n

Come and meet us for an information session on Wednesday, November 4 at 2:00 pm<\/strong>
\n(TEAMS). Please confirm your presence: crispesh@cvm.qc.ca<\/a>.<\/strong> The session will be mainly in
\nFrench. However, the PowerPoint will be in both French and English and questions can be
\nanswered in English. The presentation will be made available after the information session
\nfor those who cannot attend.<\/p>\n

CRISPESH is looking to partner with teachers from Dawson College to develop research
\nprojects related to the Chantier de la r\u00e9ussite \u00e9ducative au coll\u00e9gial, led by the Minist\u00e8re
\nde l’Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur. CRISPESH, affiliated with the C\u00e9gep du Vieux Montr\u00e9al and
\nDawson College, has a mandate to contribute to an inclusive society that allows the
\nparticipation of people with disabilities. To this end, CRISPESH supports organizations in
\ndeveloping and promoting innovative social practices and creating an enabling
\nenvironment for all.<\/p>\n

One of CRISPESH\u2019s three research themes is inclusive education, the objective of which is
\nto support the design and implementation of research-based interventions or practices
\nthat promote the educational success of students with disabilities. Research carried out in
\nthis area aims to provide evidence and tools to students, teachers and services that
\nsupport students with disabilities. It also intends to inform all other college education
\nstakeholders including the Ministry and the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des c\u00e9geps. The CRISPESH projects
\ndeveloped as part of the Chantier de la r\u00e9ussite \u00e9ducative au coll\u00e9gial focus on four
\ncomponents:<\/p>\n

1. Mapping of knowledge on the educational success of students with disabilities
\nThe research in this component mobilizes systematic knowledge synthesis
\nmethods to create an up-to-date picture of the issues, challenges and lessons
\nlearned about the educational success of this population under study.<\/p>\n

2. Data mining and use
\nIn this component, the research identifies existing data about students with
\ndisabilities and their success, as well as missing data, while seeking to develop new
\napproaches to better knowing and understanding the educational success of
\nstudents with disabilities.<\/p>\n

3. Inclusive education knowledge and practice
\nResearch in this section aims to update or develop new knowledge to support
\nteaching practices in terms of inclusive pedagogy.<\/p>\n

4. Development of collaborative research
\nIt is about responding to the concerns of stakeholders through collaborations, for
\nexample in the context of participatory research, evaluations of existing strategies
\nthat stakeholders wish to reinforce or deploy on a larger scale.
\nCRISPESH will cover the cost of release for teachers selected. It offers access to training
\ncourses on research, scientific and administrative support, and a dynamic and passionate
