We invite you to join us for the\u00a0<\/span>First Peoples Postsecondary Storytelling Exchange<\/span><\/b> (FPPSE) live, online celebration as we share project highlights and launch our website.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n

This virtual gathering is the culmination of a 4-year SSHRC-funded\u00a0<\/i>collaborative project created to improve access to education for First Nations, Inuit and M<\/span>\u00e9tis<\/span> students and help close the gap between postsecondary institutions and communities.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

During the project, Inuit, Cree, Kahnien\u2019keha:ka and Tiohti\u00e0:ke-based Indigenous students and graduates shared their educational journeys through film, video and storytelling. Stories recount challenges and barriers as well as personal transformation, resilience and visions for educational futures.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n

This event includes a short presentation of the project, video premieres and a brief walk through the website designed to assist students, educators and families with resources and educational opportunities while advocating for Indigenous sovereignty in post-secondary education.\u00a0Simultaneous interpretation in English to French will be available.<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
