CRISPESH, in collaboration with researchers Marjorie\u00a0D\u00e9sormeaux-Moreau from Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke and Isabelle Courcy from Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, invites you to the launch of a guide that aims to make workplaces more inclusive, by providing tools to facilitate\u00a0neuromixed\u00a0communication, particularly between autistic and allistic (non-autistic) individuals.<\/em><\/p>\n

Numerous studies underline the fact that communication-related challenges\u00a0represent\u00a0a major obstacle to job retention for\u00a0autistic\u00a0people. Such challenges can also limit their access to certain opportunities for career advancement, as well as their potential and their contribution to the organization. This innovative guide is based on the idea that all parties involved have a role to play in fostering communication. It aims to provide tools to\u00a0allistic people – be they employers, supervisors, trainees, consultants,\u00a0collaborators\u00a0or others – so that they can actively contribute to creating more inclusive work environments conducive to the access and retention of\u00a0autistic\u00a0people in the workplace.<\/em><\/p>\n

The launch\u00a0will\u00a0begin with\u00a0a\u00a0presentation\u00a0of the guide followed by\u00a0a question-and-answer session with the audience.<\/em><\/p>\n

The development of the guide was made possible thanks to a grant from the\u00a0minist\u00e8re\u00a0de\u00a0l’Emploi\u00a0et de la\u00a0Solidarit\u00e9 sociale.\u00a0SPHERE (Soutien \u00e0 la Personne Handicap\u00e9e En Route vers l’Emploi) was commissioned by the Ministry to manage the call for projects.\u00a0A working committee of seven autistic members, two allistic\u00a0researchers and one autistic researcher, played an essential role in the creation of the guide.<\/em><\/p>\n
