General FAQ

During the COVID-19 period, the building is closed. We are taking questions by phone at 514-933-0047 and through our email ctd@dawsoncollege.qc.ca

Courses offered by Dawson College Continuing Education’s “Center for Training & Development (CTD)” are non-credit courses and may be used to obtain a non-credit CTD certificate. Non-credit courses cannot be counted towards a diploma or attestation program at Dawson College

You are entitled to a partial refund. Affected students were contacted by email to confirm their name and address on April 12, 2020. All checks from this period have now been issued, if you have not yet received your refund please contact ctd@dawsoncollege.qc.ca.

Yes. Please call us at 514-933-0047 from Tuesday to Thursday for us to issue your refund. Please visit https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/ctd/registration-info/#bookmark5 for refund requirements.

If the class met for 80% of the time and you were present throughout the course, yes, you will be receiving an electronic certificate.

While the Quebec government directives are still in effect, we are currently offering online courses. Available courses will be posted on the Dawson College website.

College services like library, health services, student employment are limited to the credit students. As a non-credit student, you have access to the registered course only.

Technical FAQ

To fully participate in a Zoom class, you need either a laptop or computer equipped with a webcam and microphone. You do not require a Zoom license to attend your class. You will receive an email with your user account information and instructions on how to connect to Zoom SSO. We suggest that you install the Zoom Application before the first time you attend a Zoom session. Please note that you may only connect to your class with your college student account. For security purposes, your teacher may lock access to the Zoom session after it starts so please be on time for your class.

You may test Zoom at https://zoom.us/test. You can also watch this short YouTube video on how to join a Zoom meeting.

No, you will have access to the required software programs and you will be provided the specific details on how to access it within two business days of the start of your course.
