Critical Thinking on the Agenda at Ped Days Jan. 13-14

We are pleased to announce that Usha James will present the keynote address for Dawson College’s Pedagogical Days, taking place Jan. 13-14, 2020.

Usha is the Executive Director of the Critical Thinking Consortium. She began her career as a high school teacher, and she has also served as Director of the Secondary Program and as an Instructor with the Initial Teacher Education Program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.

At Ped Days, Usha will demonstrate a variety of strategies to create a critically thinking classroom through instruction, activities, and assessments. You will learn techniques and skills that you can immediately put to use in your classroom this coming semester.

Critical thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity are outcomes of Dawson’s Graduate Profile for all programs. Exploring this goal throughout Ped day activities, we hope to nurture your pedagogical practices.

Next week, watch for the Ped Days registration announcement and program details.
