Thank you from Susie Wileman

Last Thursday, many of you came to wish me bon voyage as I was about to board the good ship Retirement.  It was a real thrill to see you fine people in Oliver’s for my send off.  A big thank-you to my buddies in the Student AccessAbility Centre, and Student Services for the lovely party.  Such a good feeling, as so many of the people I’ve worked with, and laughed with over the years were present.  I am truly humbled.

It has been a real privilege to be part of this institution, to work on behalf of students, and to play a small part in helping them to achieve their educational goals.  It has been an absolute honour to do it with dedicated people I genuinely like and admire.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for the projects we’ve shared, the problems we solved together, and the good humour that made some of the trickier challenges a bit more manageable.

Thank you once more, for your good wishes, your kindness, your patience and your support.  It’s been a lot of fun, and I am one very lucky person to have worked in this place with all of you.  My wish is that you take good care of yourselves, be kind to one another, and I hope to you see you again soon.

Fondly,

Susie Wileman, M.Ed., OPQ
Psychologist, Student Accessibility Centre (retired)
