Mary Page Marlowe opens March 4

Dawson’s Professional Theatre Department presents Mary Page Marlowe, by Pulitzer-Prize-winning author Tracy Letts.

Mary Page Marlowe follows the life of an ordinary woman in the Midwest through seven decades, from her childhood (1940s) to her old age (2010s). Seven actresses play Mary Page. The play is non-sequential with each decade represented at least once.

The play tackles tough issues such as promiscuity and alcoholism, leading to a gripping and complicated story about a woman, a mother, trying to keep afloat. The show is performed by the second year students of Dawson’s Theatre Program, and directed by Michael E. Hughes (previously at Dawson: Welcome to Thebes).
