Greg Bagshaw appointed Coordinator, IT Operations

Greg Bagshaw began his new role as Coordinator, IT Operations at the beginning of May. This role involves overseeing the Help Desk, maintenance of all computer equipment (about 2,500 computers at Dawson) and procurement of IT related products and services.

Greg comes to Dawson from John Abbott College and prior to that, he worked in the private sector, mostly in the manufacturing industry. He has over 25 years of experience in managing all aspects of IT. Greg has also worked as an instructor of professional development software courses and has stayed up to date with training over the years, including an AEC in Microsoft Certification at Dawson.

“I am looking forward to new challenges, new adventures and new people at Dawson,” said Greg. “The work is similar to John Abbott but I get to do something different.”

The Help Desk activity has calmed down a little, but Greg expects it to start back up when the Fall Semester begins.

In his personal life, Greg enjoys an active family life as a father of six children and grandfather of three.
