Special Access to Lockers

If you need to retrieve course materials and textbooks from your lockers for the resumption of classes online, Dawson College has arranged a textbook pick-up time by appointment.

By appointment only textbook pick-up

Tuesday, March 31, 2020
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (by appointment only)

Before you make an appointment:

  • Check if you can get your textbook(s) online through the Dawson Library
  • Ensure that you meet the criteria for coming:
    • You are healthy and show no signs or symptoms of the COVID-19 virus including a fever, coughing, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, or generally feeling unwell
    • You have not been diagnosed with COVID-19
    • You have not travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days;

To schedule an appointment:

  • Login to MyDawson Portal (Omnivox)
  • Look at the menu on the left side under Student Services
  • Click on Building Access
  • Select a time

You must:

  • show up on time for your scheduled appointment
  • not be late or you will not be permitted to enter at another time
  • not show-up without an appointment

To enter the College:

Enter the College through 4011 de Maisonneuve, Entrance 2E.

This entrance door is off the parking lot near the corner of Wood Avenue and right next to the Dawson Daycare (4021 Boulevard de Maisonneuve O, Westmount, QC H3Z 3G4).

To approach by foot or bike, walk along the front of the Alexis Nihon building on de Maisonneuve.

To access the parking lot by car, you must approach via Wood Avenue and turn east onto de Maisonneuve (during construction this is permitted).

You are:

  • only permitted to remove textbooks and course materials from your lockers needed for your on-line classes
  • not permitted to empty your locker

Safety precautions will be enforced:

  • Only a small and limited number of students will be allowed to enter at the same time
  • You will be asked sanitize your hands upon entering the College
  • You must stay at least 2 metres away from any other person
  • You will be asked to sanitize your hands upon departure
  • Staff will be wearing gloves to protect themselves and some of them may be wearing a mask
  • Not permitted to congregate in groups
  • Must leave the College immediately after.

If you cannot make it on Tuesday, March 31, 2020:

The College might open additional days but this is not guaranteed. We will communicate the dates and times of any extra sessions to students via Omnivox.
