Building on the proactive and preventative classroom management strategies introduced in Part 1, this session focuses on how to respond confidently and professionally when challenging classroom behaviours arise. Part 2 will add to your toolkit of strategic interventions, strengthen your judgement in addressing problematic student behaviour and allow space to practice applying intervention strategies to real classroom scenarios.
You will learn:
  • Evidence-based intervention strategies for responding to disruptive, disrespectful, or escalating student behaviours
  • How to choose the right level of intervention—from subtle cues to structured conversations or more advanced interventions
  • Techniques for repairing relationships and resetting class culture after conflict
  • When and how to involve the Code of Conduct process appropriately
