Teachers care about academic integrity. We explain the consequences of cheating and plagiarism, we report cases of misconduct, and we create in-class assessments to exclude generative AI contributions.
What more can we do? Lots more, say scholars. Let’s discuss!
The session will open with a summary of current research related to academic integrity. Teachers will then share their own strategies to encourage students to be honest, responsible and fair. Shifting into a workshop format, participants will connect scholarship and experience to develop practical strategies for fostering academic integrity within the Dawson community.
