{"id":936,"date":"2015-09-10T17:01:20","date_gmt":"2015-09-10T21:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/oid\/?page_id=936"},"modified":"2026-02-05T09:53:31","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T14:53:31","slug":"entente-canada-quebec","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca\/oad\/entente-canada-quebec\/","title":{"rendered":"Entente Canada &#8211; Qu\u00e9bec"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/education\/accompagnement-etudiants\/soutien-etablissements\/entente-canada-quebec-enseignement-langue-minorite-langues-secondes\">Entente Canada &#8211; Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> stems from the law on official languages that promotes the two official languages, French and English.\u00a0 Negotiated and signed by Patrimoine canadien and Quebec\u2019s Ministry of Education, the Entente supports minority language instruction and second language instruction.<\/p>\n<p>ECQ grants support ad hoc projects that target diverse needs within a given institution and those that promote complementarity between institutions. Within Quebec\u2019s higher education sector, grants are awarded through an annual call for proposals open to colleges (cegeps) and universities. Dawson College faculty and staff who have projects that meet the criteria for the grant are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please contact the Coordinator of Non-Research Projects, Arash Amirkhany, <a href=\"mailto:aamirkhany@dawsoncollege.qc.ca\">aamirkhany@dawsoncollege.qc.ca<\/a> or consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/education\/accompagnement-etudiants\/soutien-etablissements\/entente-canada-quebec-enseignement-langue-minorite-langues-secondes\">Entente Canada \u2013 Qu\u00e9bec website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>ECQ Funded Projects<\/h2>\n<p>These are only some examples of the types of projects that received funding from the ECQ.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>e-Learning<\/li>\n<li>Faculty learning community (FLC) for indigenous pedagogy<\/li>\n<li>MakerSPACE<\/li>\n<li>Resistance and Resilience and various Peace Centre initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Internship toolkit for students with disabilities in technical programs<\/li>\n<li>Developing a Database of Digital Characters for 3D Animation &amp; CGI Students<\/li>\n<li>Rooftop Honey Bee Project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saltise.ca\/wp-content\/themes\/saltise\/dist\/images\/svg\/logo.svg\" alt=\"SALTISE\" width=\"158\" height=\"53\" \/><\/h2>\n<p>SALTISE also receives ongoing support to help educational institutions deploy active learning approaches.\u00a0 It comprises an inter-order network of educators and educational researchers, a digital professional learning community (PLC) platform, a digital student learning platform and a data analytic infrastructure to monitor and evaluate student success.
