In addition to meeting the general conditions for the RAC process, you must also be eligible for admission to the Accounting Principles and Related Computer Applications AEC (attestation d’\u00e9tudes coll\u00e9giales).<\/p>\n

AEC Admissions Requirements<\/h2>\n

Ministerial Requirements<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Applicants must have a Secondary V diploma or equivalent or acquired knowledge and skills deemed sufficient by the College for potential success in the program.<\/li>\n
  2. In addition, the applicant must meet one of the following requirements:
    \na. the applicant’s studies have been interrupted for at least two consecutive terms or one school year;
    \nb. the applicant is covered by an agreement entered into by the College and an employer or by a government program;
    \nc. the applicant has completed at least one year of post-secondary studies over a period of one year or more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    College Requirements<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Mathematics 414 (Secondary IV Math \u2013Cultural, Social and Technical Option) or equivalent, or must pass a math placement test.<\/li>\n
    2. English language skills equivalent to placement at Preparation for College English or higher. Students may be required to take an English placement exam.<\/li>\n
    3. A letter of intent explaining the applicant’s reasons for seeking admission to the Program and providing information about any pertinent work experience or background.<\/li>\n
    4. An interview will be required to assess the applicant’s motivation, communication skills and Program expectations as well as to validate their admissibility to the RAC process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If you DO NOT<\/span> meet the Ministerial Requirements AND<\/strong> the College Requirements, you will not be eligible for the Accounting Principles and Related Computer Applications AEC program. If this is the case, you should contact Continuing Education at 514-933-3771 in order to meet with an adviser to discuss the other educational options available to you.<\/p>\n

      Certification Requirements<\/h3>\n

      Bill 96, or Law 14, was adopted by Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s National Assembly in May 2022. The new law brings significant amendments to the\u202fCharter of the French Language,\u202fcommonly known as Bill 101.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      As of June 1, 2023, certain aspects of the new law will affect students who register in AEC programs in C\u00e9geps.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Law 14 puts students in Higher Education, including in AEC programs, into two categories:\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
