Vitrual Career Fair FAQs

I don’t have to dress up, do I?

You certainly don’t have to wear a suit for a virtual career fair, but you should get dressed! The best advice is dress as if you are going to an interview. Clothes should be clean and not ripped, avoid logos, avoid accessories that may be distracting.

Do I have to stay for the whole event?

Absolutely not! You can drop-in to meet one employer, or you can talk to all the employers. How long you stay is up to you.

I can’t make it at 10 a.m., can I still attend?

Of course! Students are welcome to join the event until 11:30 a.m. on October 21st. After 11:30 no new participants will be admitted.

Is it worth attending if I am not currently looking for work?

While lots of folks are looking for employment, you can still benefit from attending a career fair. You may find opportunities for a stage, or volunteering. Perhaps you aren’t sure what you want to do. Talking to employers to learn more about the roles they need to fill may give you some ideas!

Do I have to use a camera?

It is not mandatory to use a camera. However, if you are speaking one-on-one with an employer, they may appreciate it if you use your camera.
