Then the Product Design Program could be for you.
Designing products is the focus of this program. You will learn to sketch and create your own designs, to model 3D CAD components, and produce technical drawings to support the elaboration of prototypes. The program will stimulate your creativity and trigger your curiosity, while gradually discovering and practicing the proven workflow used by professional product designers when they create new exiting concepts and invent sustainable solutions. In this program, you will develop the skills enabling you to be part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals in an exciting career that evolves constantly.

What will you learn?

Where will this program lead you?
Graduates of this program pursue careers as Product Design Technicians in manufacturing enterprises or specialized product design firms. They also work as CAD Technicians and Model Makers. Some graduates choose to pursue university studies in Industrial/Product Design, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Modelling and Animation among other disciplines. Others may decide to go the entrepreneurial way, starting their own business and creating their own product line.
What else should you know?
As a Product Design student, you are studying in a program recognized by the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec. You will become accredited by the OTPQ upon application once you graduate.
The Association des Designers Industriels du Québec (ADIQ) also recognize the enrolled Product Design students who can apply for “student membership.” Later, upon graduation, they can seek full membership at ADIQ.
