ATE for Students
Students can benefit from participating in the Alternance travail-études program by getting experience in their fields of study while being paid. Having experience will make it easier to successfully enter the job market upon graduation.
Eligibility
Eligible students must be:
- Registered as a full-time student at Dawson College
- Enrolled in a technical program or AEC that is participating in the ATE program
- Selected by an employer (after applying)
Timeline
- Students can apply to job postings as they become live
- Employers conduct interviews with their preferred candidates
- Students are selected by employers
- Internships begin in late May or early June
- Internships begin in late May or early June
- Workplace inspections by ATE Coordinator
- Internships come to an end in early to mid-August
- Final internship evaluations completed
