Einat Idan

Einat works in the Office of Academic Development where she helps plan the annual pedagogical development workshops for faculty. She works closely with Dawson’s Communities of Practice to promote pedagogical expertise and to support as many teachers  as possible. She has a BA in English and Education and a MA in Educational Technology. She has worked as a Pedagogical Counsellor, instructional designer, educational technology consultant and UN intern (Convention on Biological Diversity and International Bureau of Education). Most recently, she  has been involved in research, data-driven needs analyses, training and software design. Her projects focused on the integration of Self-Regulated Learning theory and e-Portfolio practices in educational settings.

Einat has heard every possible way to pronounce her name (of Hebrew origin), and has been known to say: “’Ei-’ as in ‘Eight’”. Whatever the pronunciation, she is always happy to engage in conversation. She has lived in 6 countries and speaks 4 languages. She has been “the new kid” many times over, and recommends everyone try it at least once.
