Writing Fellows 2023 Update
Our Winter Fellows program has come to a close, and we now look forward to the next steps. The fellows will be implementing new strategies and techniques in Fall 2023, and working individually on their final output, which is due by January 2024. Here’s an update on their work in progress:
- Silja Makinen (Chemistry) is preparing a presentation a workshop for her department on using WID strategies to make more of science labs. Here’s a prototype of her presentation.
- Francis Lardy (English) is preparing an Info-graphic for how to scaffold an assignment on a piece of drama with various thinking and writing pieces throughout the process. Check out the two docs below:
- Emma Doubt (Fine Arts) is preparing a series of workshops and materials for her department on the subject of informal, formative writing for Fine Arts.
- Lei Lopez (Computer Science) is working on a Specifications Grading scheme for her first semester Computer Science course that she will be sharing with colleagues. .
