Videoconferencing

Important

The primary video conferencing platform at Dawson College is Microsoft Teams. Tutorials and user guides can be found on the college’s Microsoft Teams webpage

Zoom

To participate in a Zoom class, you do not require a Zoom license. However, you will need to sign in with your Dawson e-mail address. The link for your Zoom session will appear on your course Moodle page. The first time you attend a Zoom session you may be prompted to download and install the Zoom application for the device you are using to attend the class.

Please note that for security purposes, your teacher may lock access to the Zoom session after it starts so please be on time for your class.

To fully participate in a Zoom class, you need a computing device equipped with a webcam, speakers and microphone.

Teams

Signing into Microsoft Teams for the first time if you’re a student tutorial.

If your teacher is using Teams as the course on-line platform, you will get more information about accessing that technology.

To fully participate in a Teams class, you need a computing device equipped with a webcam, speakers and microphone.
