Inclusion and Wellness Retreat for Faculty
The Dawson Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is hosting an all-inclusive two-day retreat designed exclusively for faculty members passionate about fostering inclusion and prioritizing wellness in their classrooms, June 12-13.
This retreat aims to equip teachers with the necessary tools and strategies to establish safe and inclusive learning environments. Participants will engage in a comprehensive four-part workshop series rooted in UDL principles, providing over 10 hours of professional enrichment. This experience offers practical insights into inclusive teaching and assessment methods tailored to diverse student needs.
Alongside engaging workshop sessions, indulge in rejuvenating group wellness activities designed to help you unwind, recharge, and focus on self-care. We recognize that your well-being directly impacts your effectiveness as an educator. Wellness activities like nature hiking and yoga will be adapted to participants of all ability levels, including beginners.
The retreat provides vegetarian meals and offers vegan options upon sign-up.
