Social Science Week is February 6-10

The Social Science and Business Technologies sector has done it again, putting together another exciting program of topics and speakers that promises to stimulate and engage the whole community.

From an examination of the tragic phenomenon of honour killings to cyberbullying, from the Model UN to digital music, participants will have many choices in the five, full days of programming.

Thinking of applying to CEGEP by March 1?

Dawson will hold a special information evening on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 for those considering a CEGEP education, whether in a regular full-time day program or Continuing Education.

Doors open at 4 p.m. Take a tour of the building, speak to advisers, consult with teachers and current students. It's the best way to get all those questions answered. Arrive no later than 7:15 p.m. to get the most out of your visit.

February 9 is Tony Proudfoot Day at Dawson

On Thursday, February 9, Dawson will celebrate the life of Tony Proudfoot doing the things that Tony loved: motivating a large group of people to move, to challenge themselves, to clear their minds of life's stresses and to engage in physical activities.

Celebrate Tony's dedication to physical activity by participating in one of the many Physical Education classes being held that day. See schedule.

Then join us at 12:15 in the gymnasium for the naming ceremony and plaque unveiling of the Tony Proudfoot Gymnasium. Bring a friend or colleague and be a part of this special event.

The Dawson Student Union and the Dawson Law, Justice and Society Students Association have put together an impressive list of guest speakers spanning the spectrum of leadership candidates for the New Democratic Party of Canada.
