Program Description

The Cybersecurity: Prevention and Intervention AEC program prepares students to perform the role of Cybersecurity Technician within companies and organizations. This AEC program provides instruction on how to safeguard an organization’s digital assets and information from various threats. Throughout the program, students will learn to identify and document specific security requirements, conduct risk assessments to data, software and hardware, as well as address the installation, testing and operation of essential security software and tools.

Objectives

The program aims to prepare students to perform comprehensive cybersecurity risk analysis, anticipate security vulnerabilities, apply access control measures as well as to develop and implement response plans to manage incidents and effectively contain threats. Students will

also learn to comply with laws, regulations, and cybersecurity industry standards to ensure organizational compliance and ethical conduct in the practice of cybersecurity.
