Welcome to the Learning Centre
Fall 2025 Update!
We have lots of great changes coming in the Fall!
The Learning Centre (formerly the Academic Skills Centre) will begin scheduling regular appointments on the first day of classes, August 20, 2025. We’ll be hosting fun Open House activities to introduce (or re-introduce) ourselves to students for the first full week of classes, so look for us around the College!
If you need an appointment before then, send us an email or stop by the Learning Centre, upstairs in the Library, and speak to a staff member.
Learning Centre Services
College students often need a little help with their studies. The role of Dawson’s Learning Centre is to help students improve their learning, reading and writing skills. Students can meet with professionals and peer tutors on an individual basis or in small groups.
We have many helpful handouts and videos on a variety of academic topics; these are being migrated to a more accessible format and will be available via Omnivox soon. For paper copies, please visit us at the Centre.
