Liberal Arts Anthology 2019

May 9th, 2019

The Liberal Arts Anthology is an annual project culminating in the publication of essays, short stories, poems, photographs, drawings, etc. by 1st & 2nd year students in the program. The project is run entirely by students (planning, coordinating collaborators, editing, desktop publishing).

The Anthology project contributes to student success in that it gives students the chance to be creative in the medium of their choice (writing, visual arts, desktop publishing, etc.). It requires them to take responsibility for the production of a publication from start to finish. Each year the editorial board is comprised of both 1st and 2nd-year students so that the continuity of the project is ensured from year to year. Students learn from each other in many ways during the steps of the publication process, and have opportunities to use both the skills they bring with them and/or have acquired through the program to produce a work of their own that is not related to a particular course.
