Édouard Chassé
I took Day Hiking and Canoe Camping during my time at Dawson. Both courses changed the way I think about balance. Getting away from the city and being out there allowed me to come back to school more focused and motivated than before. I know the workload is going to be heavy next year as I head to university, but my goal is to remember what I learned and keep making time to step back when I need to. I am very grateful to have been chosen as this semester’s recipient.
Tony Proudfoot Outdoor Education Award

Awarded to a student who, during their Outdoor Education course, has demonstrated either exemplary leadership, a sense of adventure, teamwork, environmental awareness, the ability to overcome adversity, or the initiative to support others in challenging situations. This award is granted in honour of Tony Proudfoot, who made significant contributions to the Dawson College Physical Education Department.
