Receiving the Josie Gotfrit Memorial Scholarship is meaningful because it reflects something I have come to value deeply: the impact of showing up for others. Some of my most rewarding experiences are moments when I have been able to support a classmate, help a teammate succeed, or contribute to a community that matters to me. Those experiences have taught me that leadership is not about recognition, it is about responsibility, consistency, and service. This scholarship encourages me to continue investing my time and energy into the people and communities around me while pursuing my own goals. I am truly grateful for this honour and for the opportunity it represents.
