Math has always been a subject that I like throughout my school year, even though it wasn’t always easy for me. Last semester, in my linear algebra class, I stayed late after class trying to understand a problem that everyone else seemed to get right away. I felt frustrated, but when it finally clicked, it wasn’t just the answer that mattered; it was the way I didn’t give up on myself. Over time, math taught me an important lesson: stay patient and keep trying. I realized that being perseverant is just as important as understanding the material itself. It reminded me that progress is still progress, even when it feels slow. That is why receiving this award feels personal to me; it reflects the effort I put into my math studies and encourages me to keep working hard.
