I am especially pleased to be the recipient of this prize considering the other strong and capable students in my program that would have been just as deserving of this award. I will put this award to good use and live up to the kind of opportunity that it truly represents. The Glay Sperling Prize is a huge boost in terms of the resources I have to continue making films, as well as being personally inspiring in terms of how I perceive the kind of support that there is for the art of filmmaking.

Awarded to a student who, during their first year of studies, has demonstrated overall academic achievement and great potential for success in Art History, Cinema, Drama, Fine Arts, or Music. This prize was established in the name of Glay Sperling, the founder of the Cinema-Communications department at Dawson College.
