As a second-generation Caribbean Canadian, I am honoured to be receiving this award. This award represents the impact of Black entrepreneurs and the duty we have as a community to support, uplift and protect one another. Upon graduation, I will continue my education in Sports Management and I look forward to working with professional sports organizations as an operations coordinator or team manager. Ultimately, I want to leave a reputation that transcends generations and inspires not only Black people, but especially Black women in sports.
