Programme de bourses pour de courts séjours à l’extérieur du Québec au niveau collégial

Grant program for short stays outside Québec at the college level

The Direction des affaires internationales (DAI) of the Fédération des cégeps is launching a call for applications for the Programme de bourses pour de courts séjours à l’extérieur du Québec au niveau collégial (bursary program for short stays outside Quebec at the college level), intended to finance credited internships, work-study internships or study stays scheduled to depart between January 1 and March 31, 2024.  Each student may be granted a maximum of $250 per week for all destinations except the U.S., Mexico and other Canadian provinces (outside Quebec).

How to Apply

Applications for projects taking place in Canada (outside Quebec) or abroad must be submitted via the International Development coordinator. Students must express interest to the international development coordinator by September 29.2023.  The deadline for online applications is October 24, 2023.

To be considered eligible, applications must be complete by the call deadline and include all required documents:

  • Filled application form,
  • Letter from the registrar or school organization, and
  • Letter from the partner

DAI reserves the right to refuse any application submitted that takes place in a country or region affected by travel restrictions or travel warnings, whether as a result of its analysis of the situation or the issuance of specific notices by government authorities.

Programme de bourses pour des séjours de mobilité au Mexique

Grant Program to Study Abroad in Mexico

The Direction des affaires internationales (DAI) of the Fédération des cégeps is launching a call for applications for the Mexico Mobility Grant Program, designed to finance language stays or credited internships, work-study internships (ATE) or study stays scheduled to depart between January 1 and March 31, 2024.

How to Apply

Applications for projects taking place in Mexico must be submitted via the International Development coordinator (see email below). The internal deadline for applications is October 10, 2023.
To be considered eligible, applications must be complete by the call deadline and include all required documents (form, letter from the registrar or school organization and letter from the Mexican partner).

Please note :
– The length of stay must be calculated in weeks, and must now be a minimum of three (3) weeks; The length of stay indicated in the letter from the Mexican partner must correspond to the length of stay indicated in the online form and in the letter from the registrar or school organization;
– The start and end dates of the internship, language stay or study stay must be the same on each of the documents submitted;- The requirement for a minimum number of units acquired by the student prior to his/her stay in Mexico has been removed from the program standards;
– The program is now open to partnerships with any Mexican educational institution, organization or company.
– Language stays are now eligible, provided they are recognized as part of the program and lead to the awarding of credits;
– The letter from the Mexican partner must specify the names of the students hosted, the start and end dates of the internship, language stay or study session, the services offered, and the evaluation procedures agreed upon by the parties;
– The letters from the registrar or school organization and the letter from the Mexican partner must be signed and attached to the form in PDF format;
– The amount requested may not exceed the scholarship amounts allocated per week.
