This course will introduce students to Chinese calligraphy. Students will learn how to handle the brush, how to practise strokes and lines, how to use graph paper, and how to prepare the ink and painting surface. Students will learn the basic techniques required for writing a Chinese character and will be able to practise these techniques in class.
