Prerequisite: Italian Level 1 or basic grammar knowledge

Overall Goals:

1. In this course students will develop intermediate language skills.
2. The course will focus on oral comprehension and expression.
3. The course content includes grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation at an intermediate level. This includes adjectives, pronouns, verbs in the 3 conjugations, adverbs, and conversational forms in different contexts.
4. The course aims to develop intermediate communication skills and knowledge of the Italian language and culture.
5. At the end of the course, the student will be able to have a simple conversation using structured elaborated sentences in Italian and to communicate with more advanced written messages.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

Required Material:

Students may choose to purchase either a digital book or a paper book, not both.
The purchase should only be made after the first class.

• Device: PC (Windows 11) or Mac OS 13 (Ventura or newer).
  Laptops or desktops are recommended for full functionality.

  Students may be able to participate using Chromebooks or tablets, but features may be limited.

• Internet Connection: Minimum – 10 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload.
  Recommended – 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.

  Wired internet connection is preferred for stability.

• Audio & Video: Headphones or earbuds with a microphone.
  Webcam (built-in or external) is recommended.
