Spanish Conversation – Level 3 (In-person)


Prerequisite: Spanish Conversation Level 2

Overall Goals:

  1. Provide students with a better understanding of Spanish basics and how to deal effectively with familiar everyday situations, with the vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions necessary for communicating accurately and fluently in various contexts.
  2. Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through various communicative activities focusing on travel, culture and customs, and socializing.

Intended Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Exchange information, report facts about their lives and others and express their opinion on different subjects of interest with more fluency in Spanish.

Methodology:

  • Vocabulary activities
  • Modelling and practising short conversations
  • Pair and group activities
  • Pronunciation activities
  • Listening activities (listening for gist and for specific information)
  • Reading activities (skimming and scanning tasks)
  • Grammar activities and games

Required Material:

Students may choose to purchase either a digital book or a paper book, not both.
The purchase should only be made after the first class.
