2025 Ped Day Keynote: Jessica Riddell
Dr. Jessica Riddell is a professor of Early Modern Literature in the English Department at Bishop’s University (Quebec, Canada). She holds the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair of Undergraduate Teaching Excellence; in this capacity, she focuses on systems-change in higher education that fosters human flourishing.
An award-winning educator and scholar, she has published on Shakespeare, experiential learning, and inclusive high-impact practices. Her recent publication include, Shakespeare’s Guide to Hope, Life, and Learning (University of Toronto Press, 2023) which was nominated for the Gordon Book Prize. Her newest book, Hope Circuits: Rewiring Universities and other Systems for Human Flourishing, was published by McGill-Queen’s University Press in 2024.

Lunch in Conrod’s (2F.4)
Lunch will be available to purchase for $15 + tax. Each meal includes a choice of drink and dessert. Meals can be picked up and paid for in the cafeteria on the day of the event. We are currently collecting information on who is interested, and we will transmit this information to the cafeteria so that they can prepare for the event accordingly.
