- Science 200.BO (200.BC)
- Social Science 300.AO (300.CE)
The deadline for submission of an application to a DEC program through Continuing Education varies every semester.
Dawson students who have not been registered at the College for one semester or more must re-apply for admissions by the same deadlines.
Please note: You cannot register as a Continuing Education program student regardless of your program status in former semesters unless you have applied and received a letter of acceptance. You cannot graduate until you have officially applied and been accepted to a program.
DEC Admission Requirements
The basic requirement for admission to a DEC program at Dawson College is the Quebec Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) that includes Secondary V Language of Instruction, Secondary V Second Language, Secondary IV Physical Science, Secondary IV Mathematics, and Secondary IV History. Students from outside the province must present proof of schooling equivalent to the above. For certain programs, specific prerequisites are required.
Students in a pre-university DEC program may register on a part-time or a full-time basis. A full-time course load is 180 course hours or four courses. There is no guarantee of a full-time course load as this is subject to scheduling and space restrictions. It is not possible to complete all courses required for the Social Science or Science program through Continuing Education.
If you are in a D.E.C. program (any program code beginning with 200, 300, 500) you will be expected to register for courses in your program and you should be aware of your program requirements (See Science, Social Science).
