Overall Goals:

1. This course aims to gradually introduce the notions of French to students who have no previous knowledge.
2. In addition, it allows the student to communicate in simple and usual situations requiring only a simple and direct exchange of information.
3. Among the proposed themes are professions, communication in the classroom, greetings, work, family.

Methodology:

• Phonetics: alphabet, syllables, and pronunciation
• Conversations and role-plays
• Audio comprehension exercises
• Reading of texts
• Role-playing games
• Group work

Required Material:

Students may choose to purchase either a digital book or a paper book, not both.
The purchase should only be made after the first class.

• Device: PC (Windows 11) or Mac OS 13 (Ventura or newer).
  Laptops or desktops are recommended for full functionality.

  Students may be able to participate using Chromebooks or tablets, but features may be limited.

• Internet Connection: Minimum – 10 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload.
  Recommended – 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload.

  Wired internet connection is preferred for stability.

• Audio & Video: Headphones or earbuds with a microphone.
  Webcam (built-in or external) is recommended.

Web Browser: The latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari.
