Prerequisite: German Conversation Level 1
Overall Goals:

1. This level is designed for students who have a basic or limited knowledge of German. It aims to enhance the development of essential communicative skills and knowledge of the German language and knowledge of the culture that enables participation in simple exchanges and to understand written messages. 2. The course is designed to further develop students’ linguistic and cultural competencies. Students will practice their German reading and speaking skills by reading and discussing a variety of texts, and they will practice their listening and cultural competencies by working with additional materials provided by the course instructor.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Carry on a daily conversation in German with confidence.
