Microsoft Excel – Beginner

Prerequisite: Introduction to Windows or equivalent knowledge

Platform: Windows

In this basic class we are introduced to spreadsheets as a tool to format and summarize information. Students will learn how to create, save, retrieve, modify and print worksheets. Simple arithmetic operations and basic formulas will be used to make calculations. Color, font and borders will be applied to make documents look professional and clear. Students will also learn how to visually represent information with charts and graphs.

Understanding data storage (files, folders and drives) will be reinforced.

The hands-on, in-class method allows the student to develop proficiency and confidence working in Excel.

Material: Students must bring a 2GB or higher Flash Drive/USB key to every class.

A textbook is included in the price of the course.
